This competition is open to first- and second-year students and there are substantial cash prizes for the first and second place students in each year! The prizes will be awarded at the College Prize Ceremony in May.
The competition consists of about 10 math problems which are meant to be challenging, but require no math knowledge beyond Math 121 (Intermediate Calculus), and most of the problems only use high school math. But prepare to be stumped...faculty are hard at work coming up with fun but difficult problems for you!
You can also come for just part of the time to get a taste of the problems...there is no obligation to stay for the whole three hours!
Any questions about the competition, please email Prof. Culiuc (firstname.lastname@example.org). We look forward to seeing you next week.
