Spring can be a wonderful time to shake off the heaviness of winter and rejuvenate the body with new ways of exercising and eating, yet "cleansing" is often presented as clearing harmful toxins from an unhealthy body. Ayurveda--the ancient yet applicable system of wellbeing from South Asia--has a more balanced approach. With Ayurvedic principles as our guide, we'll explore nourishing, affirming and individualized ways to approach a spring cleanse.
