Celebrate a break from classes and get back into the Spring of things with a Zoom-free event that features local food vendors, live music and a gift to celebrate Amherst College's Bicentennial.
The Mammoth Meet-Up menu includes pulled pork sliders, jackfruit sliders, BBQ baked beans, corned beef sandwiches, Irish potato stew, Irish soda bread, dark chocolate chip cookies and cake batter cookies. Gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options will be available.
Live music will be performed by local Fever-pop duo Home Body, which ignores convention with their vivid blend of electronic, new wave, and experimental pop music, performed from the gut with wild abandon and art-school-cool theatricality.
To ensure physical distancing and comply with local and state guidelines, activities will be limited to on-campus students (no faculty or staff) who have been assigned a 30-minute block of time to participate in the event based on their residence hall. Assignments for Mammoth Meet-Up are as follows:
GROUP A: 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Appleton, Charles Drew, Charles Pratt, Cohan and Ford
GROUP B: 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Garman, Greenway B, Greenway C and Hitchcock
GROUP C: 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. James, King, Lipton, Mayo-Smith and Newport
GROUP D: 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Moore, Morris-Pratt and North
GROUP E: 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Morrow, Nicholls Biondi, Porter, Seelye, Seligman and Williston
GROUP F: 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. South, Stearns, Valentine and Wieland
