Khalil Flemming ’16, a music industry professional living in Brooklyn, N.Y., credits his Amherst education with providing the communication and critical thinking skills that have helped him progress in the entertainment industry. Khalil spent the last five years rising through the ranks of the United Talent Agency’s music division, specializing in touring and brand partnerships. In addition to early experiences in film/TV production, he has built a freelance career managing artists, writing and producing records, and consulting with small brands.

In summer 2021, Khalil launched All My Friends, a creative agency where he is developing musicians and booking shows. Notably, many of his core collaborators are Amherst alums. While at Amherst, Khalil majored in theater and dance, lived in Drew House and was on the men’s track team.

Outside of work, Khalil is a big fan of sports (NFL/NBA/F1), reading about culture and fashion, longboarding and playing video games. Lately he has been getting back out to concerts, learning more about web3 and working on an album with friends.

Join for this Alumni-in-Residence event to learn how interdisciplinarity, adaptability and a passion for the performing arts have helped Khalil build a career centered on creative collaboration and entrepreneurship.

This Alumni-in-Residence event is hosted by Amherst College's Loeb Center for Career Exploration and Planning. To learn more about the program and this semester's lineup, visit https://amherst.edu/go/air.
