The Black Art Matters Festival is a student-led art celebration that highlights the work and artistic achievement of Amherst's Black students. The exhibition of student artwork will be on view at the Mead Art Museum from March 7 to June 25, 2023. The Black Art Matters Festival, including the visual art showcase, was created by Zoe Akoto ’21 and is made possible today thanks to on-campus partnerships with the African & Caribbean Student Union, Black Student Union, Multicultural Resource Center and Mead Art Museum.
