Mammoths are innovative. Mammoths know how to think critically, communicate persuasively, and create an inter-disciplinary approach to solve problems. Join alumni entrepreneurs and early-stage investing alumni as they talk about how they became founders and investors by using the interdisciplinary approach of the Amherst College Liberal Arts education to be innovative and start, run, and invest in ideas and companies. On Sunday, April 14, the college will be hosting the 2nd annual Amherst College Entrepreneur Society (ACES) Conference. We welcome you to attend the event. Students can also participate in the Mammoth Innovation Challenge - a 2 minute pitch - to win cash $$$. The pitch can be a for-profit or non-profit idea—this is the perfect opportunity to showcase how you would solve a problem. If you are interested, please submit a 180-word (or less) summary of your idea to Stephanie Hockman (shockman@amherst.edu) by April 5 at 5pm. Stephanie will work with all students to perfect their pitches and be able to showcase their ideas to the fullest.
