The Justice For Keith LaMar Symposium includes a panel discussion: Activism, Optimism, and Freedom on Sunday, April 7th, at the Lyceum from 1-3:00 pm, with a reception to follow. Students are preparing to participate in our discussion by reading Keith’s memoir, Condemned. At the panel, Keith LaMar will phone in from death row in Ohio to discuss themes of clear-eyed optimism in the face of overwhelming injustice and of building solutions and institutions in order to create pathways of redress and justice. Keith and his band will perform their jazz album, “Freedom First” Sunday evening at The Drake.  These events are free and open to the public.
