The panel participants include Alejandro Mariano Werner Wainfeld (director, Georgetown University Americas Institute and Professor of the Practice) and Ricardo Salas Diaz (Ph.D. candidate in economics at UMass and a researcher at CoreWoman). The event will be moderated by Professors Javier Corrales and Katharine Sims of Amherst College. It is free and open to the public. 

The mission of the Vogel Lecture is to raise awareness of Latin America's political economy across the Amherst community. This event is sponsored by the Departments of Political Science and Economics at Amherst College and through the generosity of the Robert C. Vogel '60 Fund.
