Build confidence in describing your goals, interests and experiences to potential employers, funding agencies and grad school committees! In this hands-on workshop presented by the Loeb Center’s Charles Hamilton Houston Houston Program, you will learn how to authentically answer the prompt, ‘So tell me about yourself,’ identify themes and pivotal moments in your life to speak to and develop a suite of examples to pull from for interviews, cover letters and more. *Attendance at this event will count towards the fulfillment of the internship preparation workshop requirement for the Charles Hamilton Houston Internship Program.*
This Interterm, Susan Daniels, Associate of Public Speaking, and Jyl Gentzler, Professor of Philosophy, will offer faculty an interactive workshop on dynamic lecturing. By learning the rationale behind five TED principles of public speaking, applying them, and receiving feedback from faculty colleagues, you will transform your lectures into engaging opportunities for student learning.
