Gradescope is an online program for consistent grading through the use of rubrics for point assignment and standard responses for common errors. You can grade assignments, quizzes, and exams faster and more uniformly. Gradescope is especially useful for materials that are handwritten and for larger classes.
Many faculty are already using Gradescope, and there will be two idea-sharing sessions at lunch time on Wednesday, Nov. 11, and Thursday, Nov. 12.

Curious about how films can play a role in de-stigmatizing mental health and sexual violence? Looking for an easy way to build community through art?
Join us on Wednesday, November 11, from 4:00-5:30 PM for a virtual workshop with Art With Impact on Movies 4 Mental Health: Creating Supportive Communities for Survivors of Sexual Violence. This event will focus on exploring the mental health impacts that sexual violence can have on individuals and communities through a series of short films as a tool to build empathy and support survivors. The event also connects students with campus and community mental health and sexual violence-oriented resources available to them, empowering them to seek support as individuals and communities to heal from sexual violence.
Pre-registration is required for all attendees at: bit.ly/m4mh-online-amherst. There is an option to join anonymously. Questions or concerns can be directed to Lauren Kelly, Sexual Respect Educator, at lakelly@amherst.edu.
This event is hosted by the Department of Health Education and the Counseling Center, and co-sponsored with the Community Mental Health Fund and the Arts at Amherst Initiative.
