Amherst College notes the passing of Jerome "Herman" Yezierski on Sept. 7, 2011. Yezierski came to the college in 1963 as a janitor and was promoted to special services custodian in 1972. He retired in 1994. He is survived by his wife, Claire, and four children, including college employees Maureen Waskiewicz and Joanne Thornton.
