AMHERST, Mass.—The Amherst College Men’s Glee Club will present its annual Senior Concert on Saturday, April 26, at 5 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the Arms Music Center at Amherst College. Conducted by Mallorie Chernin and assistant Suraj Gopal ’07, the Glee Club will be accompanied by pianist Alissa Leiser.

Each year, the music for the Senior Concert is chosen by graduating students who pick favorite songs from their four years of participation in the Glee Club. This year, singers will perform a variety of sacred and secular music, songs of other nations and spirituals—including pieces by Ludwig van Beethoven, Jacob Handl, William Dawson, John W. Work and many others. The concert will conclude with the traditional “Senior Song” by James S. Hamilton and the passing of the historic senior chalice.

Please note the unusual start time of 5 p.m. This concert is open to the public at no charge. Seating is by general admission. For more information, please contact director Mallorie Chernin at 413/542-2484 or e-mail mchernin@amherst.edu.
