News & Events Korean Pianist and Teacher Chonghyo Shin to Give Recital at Amherst College on Sept. 25

AMHERST, Mass. – The Amherst College Department of Music will present a recital by pianist Chonghyo Shin on Friday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the Arms Music Center. The concert is open to the public at no charge and seating is by general admission.

A native of Seoul, Korea, Shin received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the New England Conservatory of Music, where she also taught in the preparatory division. She has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and has been featured with orchestras around New England.

Mrs. Shin’s program at Amherst will include works by Mozart, Chopin, Liszt and Debussy.
