AMHERST, Mass.—The Amherst Symphony Orchestra will present a concert titled “Bohemian Rhapsodies” during AmherstCollege’s Family Weekend on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 8:30 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the ArmsMusicCenter at AmherstCollege.
The program will open with The Moldau, Bedrich Smetana’s iconic portrait of the river Vltava, continue with Carl Maria von Weber’s virtuosic Second Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra (Samuel Miller ’10, soloist) and conclude with Antonin Dvorak’s bucolic yet spirited Eighth Symphony in G major.
This concert is open to the public. Tickets can be reserved beginning on Oct. 26 by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 413/542-2195. Tickets cost $8 for the general public and $4 for seniors, children and students with ID. Admission is free for FiveCollege students.
