Described by the New York Times as “a swan-necked mezzo with fine technique, a range of colors from honeyed to bright and charm to burn,” Eddy is considered by many to be an emerging star in the opera world. Since her Metropolitan Opera (Met) debut in 2001, she has performed such celebrated roles as Cherubino in Le Nozze de Figaro there and at other leading regional opera companies. Most recently, Eddy performed the role of Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen at the Met. In the words of The Boston Globe, “charismatic mezzo Sandra Piques Eddy has future star written all over her.”

The box office for this performance opens on Feb. 8. Ticket prices are $28 for the general public, $22 for senior citizens, $12 for students and $7 for Amherst College students. Amherst College students can also request free student rush tickets beginning at 7 p.m. on the evening of the performance.
