AMHERST, Mass. – The Amherst College Department of Music presents the Mist Covered Mountains Celtic ensemble featuring fiddle instructor Donna Hébert and guest performer Emmy Pierce ’11 on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 3 p.m. in Buckley Recital Hall in the Arms Music Center at Amherst College. The concert is free and open to the public. Seating is by general admission.

Cited by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick for “outstanding artistic achievement” in 2009, award-winning fiddler Donna Hébert is a celebrated teacher and artist who specializes in Celtic and French-Canadian fiddling. She joins Celtic fiddler Katherine First, guitar player and vocalist Max Cohen and vocalist Molly Hebert-Wilson to form Mist Covered Mountains. Together they perform Irish, Scottish and French-Canadian music with Celtic roots.
