As Amherst’s class of 2021 graduates, take a look back at the many national fellowships and scholarships that members of the class have won—even during this challenging pandemic period. Their awards include funding for learning foreign languages, teaching English abroad, pursuing graduate degrees and conducting research around the world.
Watson Fellow Eniola Ajao ’21 expressed a sentiment that we can imagine many of these fellowship and scholarship winners share. “I am most looking forward to the chance encounters with strangers that branch into more encounters and open up unexpected opportunities,” Ajao wrote. “I am also excited for the opportunity to be totally independent, and the growth that will inevitably follow.”
