Lisa Stoffer coordinates Amherst 's efforts to obtain funding from institutional donors. She works with faculty and administrators to find corporate and foundation support for college priorities and collaborative projects. Lisa joined the Advancement Office in February 2007 from Hampshire College, where she directed the office of Corporate, Foundation, and Government Relations.
A native of western Massachusetts, Lisa spent seven years in Washington, DC, before returning to the Amherst area in 1997. While in DC, she served first as a Program Officer and later as the Senior Development Officer of the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX), a nonprofit organization that promoted interaction among scholars, policymakers, and journalists from Central and Eastern Europe, Eurasia, and the United States. Prior to her work at IREX, Lisa managed study abroad programs in Russia and Ukraine for the American Council of Teachers of Russian/American Councils for International Education. She is a graduate of Haverford College and received a Master's degree in Russian history from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.

Prior to joining the Foundation & Corporate Relations team in 2002, Jeanne researched and analyzed data for a variety of organizations, including the Channing Bete Publishing Company and the Massachusetts Governor’s Highway Safety Board. As a business consultant, Jeanne provided marketing, database management, and web development services to local non-profit organizations and small businesses. A native of Pennsylvania, Jeanne is a graduate of Cook College, Rutgers University, and holds a B.S. degree in environmental studies.
Mary Elizabeth Strunk

Mary is a graduate of Georgetown University and holds a Ph.D. in American Studies from the University of Minnesota. For many years, she was a visiting college instructor, teaching interdisciplinary courses in English, American Studies, Women's Studies and other fields at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Syracuse University, and Hamline University, among others. Mary has also been the public relations and publications manager at the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum, a research associate at the Five College Women’s Studies Center and a freelance writer and editor. Before coming to FCR, she was the communications leader at Mediate Your Life, a startup company that provides training in nonviolent communication and mediation.
