Advancement Reporting & Systems is a four-person team that develops systems, software applications and reports for Advancement staff and sometimes others.

Our output includes:

  • Web applications (at engage.amherst.edu)
  • A BI-centric data warehouse
  • Self-service querying in a personal MS Access "sandbox"
  • Reports in MS Excel, Access, Word, SSRS (browser-based), and Forena (on the college website)
  • Desktop applications
  • A Data Dictionary that defines the content of fields throughout the reporting environment
  • A desktop interface in MS Access offering all these, called ARI (Advancement Reporting Interface)
