Development Research identifies potential and prospective donors and provides background information to Development staff to help determine an individual’s philanthropic interests and tendencies.
We use a number of publicly available tools to conduct our research, many of which are cataloged in our blog, a collaborative project with the Development Research offices at Smith, Mt. Holyoke, and Hampshire College.
Additionally, we utilize many Amherst College resources for prospect identification and analysis, including those provided by the Frost Library and Donor Relations.
The entire Research Team can now be reached with a single email group name: AdvResearch.
This will save a lot of extra typing or trying to remember who on our team should receive which various types of communications.
For all-research emails such as trip reports and research requests, please use the AdvResearch group name.
We hope this makes contacting us easier for everyone, and ensures that even if one of us is unavailable, your message will be received and acted on in a timely manner.
AdvResearch appears in the global email directory. It can be used in meeting requests when you want to invite the entire Research Team.
