Amherst College Refund Policy

In case of withdrawal before the opening day of a semester, all charges will be canceled.

Optional, independent tuition insurance covering medical withdrawals is offered by A.W.G. Dewar, Inc. If you do not wish to participate in the program you must complete the online waiver by August 6, 2021, for the fall semester and,  by January 14, 2022 for the spring semester.  Subscribers are assured a refund of tuition within the terms of the plan for medical withdrawals. All medical withdrawals under the program are insured at 80% of the applicable tuition portion of the comprehensive fee previously paid to Amherst. More detailed information is available at http://tuitionprotection.com/Amherst. This is a private program that is not provided or administered, by the College.
