Pratt Field Facilities Project

Completed in time for the College's 2013 fottball season, the work included a new Pratt Field, Lumley Track, athletics building, press box and grandstands.  Upgrades included a new artificial turf, track accomodating NCAA events and lighting for night games.  The new athletics building houses locker rooms, training rooms, film/team/event room, athletic equipment room and roof decks overlooking both Pratt Field and Gooding Field.  The architecture of brick and stone designed by Bowie Gridley Architects is in keeping with Amherst's campus.  Accessibility upgrades are incorporated throughout.  Construction was managed by Daniel O'Connell's Sons.  The project was extremely fast, less than 18 months from beginning of design to kick-off at the first game.
