Twenty-Five Tons of Bananas: Dining Services Trivia

Dining Services prepares approximately 25,000 meals every week.

Over a year’s time, this amounts to:

Fresh Zucchini 1,940 lbs
Cinnamon Raisin Bread 1,758 loaves
Chick Peas   9,281 lbs
Bulk ground beef  5,800 lbs
Bananas  49,640 lbs (that’s almost 25 tons!)
Uncooked brown rice  5,275 lbs
Chocolate chunk cookies 33,600 cookies
Frosted Mini-Wheats®  2,200 lbs
Orange Juice  4,000 gallons
