The towns surrounding the Amherst College campus provide access to a number of day care centers and nursery schools for pre-school children. The Woodside Children’s Center, 413-253-2604, operates on campus and provides preferential admission to the children of Amherst College employees.

Each of the other colleges in the Five College alliance has affiliated day care facilities. In each instance preferential admission is provided to children of the parent’s respective college.
