What is the challenge about?

How often does the phrase “can I give you some feedback” lead to a feeling of dread for both the giver and the receiver? Too often. When done well, giving feedback is an act of care and support. Performance feedback has the opportunity to highlight ways in which we are doing our jobs well and should be amplified, and the ways in which there are opportunities for growth. Feedback should not be a one way street from a supervisor to their team members. Feedback, done well, should be built into a team's culture. This month’s LinkedIn Learning Challenge will focus on feedback in four different ways. We will be examining what feedback is at a conceptual level, how to give feedback to others, how to receive feedback and how to create action from feedback.
