Effective teams are important for both individuals and organizations. 37% of the participants in a recent study said that working as a part of a team was their primary reason for staying in their job. In another study, 9 out of 10 executives rated moving to a new organization model based on teams as a top priority. This session will focus on concepts, tools and skills related to building and sustaining effective teams.
After this session you will be able to:
- describe the attributes of an effective team.
- link a team’s work to the priorities of the broader organization.
- increase team effectiveness by establishing, communicating and reinforcing shared values and norms.
- understand the key phases of team development and respond accordingly.
This session is designed for anyone who has responsibility for building teams.
Presenter Brandon Wilson, Trainer
Brandon provides practical, insightful training to leaders about how to maximize individual and team performance. With a background in management, education and theater, Brandon has an engaging delivery style as he invites leaders to build new skills to influence behavior and create team buy-in. Brandon earned a BA in theater from Millikin University. Outside of work, Brandon is a talented musician, playing guitar and singing his original songs around Central Indiana.
