The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey has sold more than 25 million copies since it was first published and has been one of the best selling non-fiction business books in history. The principles of the 7 Habits are designed to help people become more effective and to achieve better results and outcomes.
The Habits are divided into: Private Victories (covered in session one) - principles to help individuals develop a strong character and identify what is important in their lives; and Public Victories (covered in session two) - principles that help individuals create strong relationships and work collaboratively and successfully with others.
After this session, you will be able to:
- develop habits and practices that can help you get the results you want today in such a way that you can get even better results in the future
- focus on making proactive choices, committing to what is truly important, prioritizing how you use your time, seeking mutually beneficial outcomes, listening empathically to fully understand what others are saying and developing ideas and plans that benefit everyone
This series introduces the Habits and provides insights for participants to implement them in their personal and professional lives. Each participant will receive a copy of the 7 Habits book at the training.
This session is a professional development opportunity open to all staff and faculty.
