Chronic, unresolved conflict is a decisive factor in at least 50% of all decisions to leave an organization.  Work conflicts are also a significant source of stress.  Because of these costly consequences, it is most effective to proactively address issues early in their lifecycle before they erupt into full-blown conflict.  The longer the wait, the more costly it becomes.  Yet, conflict is often avoided because it can be uncomfortable and those involved may feel unprepared to deal with the situation.  This session will build self-confidence in your ability to proactively address issues by focusing on models, tools and skills that support effective conflict management.

After this session you will be able to:

  • use core communication skills to gather the information necessary to respond effectively in conflict situations.
  • identify your favored approaches to conflict.
  • make intentional choices about how to respond.
  • develop self-management strategies when faced with conflict situations.

This session is designed for anyone who is interested in fine-tuning their conflict management skills.
