We are living in the midst of unprecedented demographic shifts that are fundamentally changing the dynamics of the work. For the first time in history there are five generations working side-by-side in the workplace. Each of these generations brings a unique set of values, expectations, and preferences related to work. This session will explore the demographic shift that is underway and identify strategies and tactics to leverage the richness that generational diversity offers.
After this session you will be able to:
- describe the importance of leveraging the generational diversity present in today’s workplace.
- identify key characteristics of the five generations in the workplace.
- recognize implications of these generational differences in the workplace.
- apply practical strategies for working successfully in a multi-generational workforce.
This session is designed for anyone who actively supervises others.
Presenter Brandon Wilson, Trainer
Brandon provides practical, insightful training to leaders about how to maximize individual and team performance. With a background in management, education and theater, Brandon has an engaging delivery style as he invites leaders to build new skills to influence behavior and create team buy-in. Brandon earned a BA in theater from Millikin University. Outside of work, Brandon is a talented musician, playing guitar and singing his original songs around Central Indiana.
