- Confirm job priorities
- Review what should be accomplished daily, weekly, monthly
- Discuss what is going well
- Highlight efforts and/or successes
- Discuss challenges or concerns, if any
- Make a plan for any changes needed
- Discuss opportunities to be part of the Amherst College community
- Share information on Staff Core Competencies
- Create a schedule for continued check ins. The Supervisor should meet with new hire at least once a month for the first six months, continuing to check in about questions and concerns. Supervisors should revisit, look at progress on, and offer support for the staff member’s agreed-upon starting project(s) and/or identify next projects and goals.
