Dear Amherst College faculty and staff,

On Thursday, June 24, 2021, the Board of Trustees approved the operating budget for FY22 (July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022). On behalf of Biddy, the senior staff and the board, I am pleased to announce a few key elements of the budget related to faculty and staff compensation. You will be hearing more detail about the budget from Kevin Weinman, Chief Financial and Administrative Officer.

On July 1, 2021, all faculty and staff will receive a 3.5% wage increase. Similar to previous years, there will be additional funds available for approved faculty and staff promotions. More information about your complete compensation package can be found in Workday.

In addition, we are also pleased to announce an increase in the Grant-in-Aid benefit from $12,500 per dependent per academic year to a maximum of $15,000 per year. More information about this benefit can be found here.
