July 1, 2021

Dear Colleagues,

As part of our ongoing review of the College’s compensation structure and in light of the State's rising minimum wage and changes in the current labor market, I am very pleased to let you know that we will be making some enhancements that will have a positive effect on the wages of certain staff members within the AO-1, 2, 3 and RI-1 job classifications.

Effective July 1, 2021, the minimum hourly wage rate for new hires within AO-1, 2, 3 and RI-1 will be increased above the recently announced 3.5% wage increase.  Staff members who fall within the following wage levels will also receive increases in addition to the 3.5% across the board increase that was announced earlier this week:

  • AO-1: Below $18 = Additional 3.5% increase (total raise effective July 1 is 7%)
  • AO-1: Above $18 but less than $20 = Additional 1.5% increase (total raise effective July 1 is 5%)
  • AO-2, AO-3 and RI-1: Below $19 = Additional 3.5% increase (total raise effective July 1 is 7%)
  • AO-2, AO-3 and RI-1: Above $19 but less than $20 = Additional 1.5% increase (total raise effective July 1 is 5%)
