Welcome to the Office of Immigration Services

It can be a challenge to navigate federal immigration policies and processes in the United States while staying up-to-date-on status requirements and expectations, especially when relocating and adjusting to a new envioronment.  We're here to help.

The Office of Immigration Services (OIS) offers advising and resources to students of Amherst College community seeking immigration and visa support.  Hailing from over fifty countries, the OIS works closely with Mammoths from around the globe as you prepare for and join Amherst College, build community and develop academic interests, and ultimately explore professional paths.

In addition to advising and providing support, the OIS watches closely for regulatory updates from government agencies that impact immigration policy, and is responsible for institutional compliance with federal immigration regulations.
