Frost Library, Lane Room A Level

This class will present a series of tips and shortcuts that will help you work more efficiently and complete more complex tasks with Microsoft Excel. You’ll learn how to assign range names to groups of cells and how to use range names in formulas and functions. You'll practice working with multiple spreadsheets in a workbook, including navigating large workbooks, grouping sheets for quick editing and formatting, and creating 3-D formulas that span several sheets. You'll learn how to lock and protect a sheet and how to add comments for review. The class will also cover converting lists to tables, concatenating and separating text, and creating a drop-down list for data entry. The class will then focus on several useful Excel functions: Payment, If, Iferror, Vlookup, Round, CountIf and SumIf. Finally, you'll learn how to record a simple macro to automate repetitive tasks, and how to assign it to a button the Quick Access Toolbar. A complete list of keyboard shortcuts is also included.

The trainer will be Don Lesser from Pioneer Training.
