Student Jobs

Information Technology (IT) is one of the major student employers on campus. Students work as Computer Center Supervisors, Student IT Specialists, and Interns. In general, we recommend that students work for at least one semester as a Supervisor before applying for other positions within IT.

Computer Center Supervisors

The application process for the position of Computer Center Supervisor begins at the start of the Fall semester. Supervisors maintain and ensure the security of the A Level of Frost Library. A good Supervisor learns quickly, takes the initiative in solving problems, and keeps a positive attitude. Computing experience is needed. Optional training is provided for those wishing to advance to the IT Specialist position.

Access the Supervisors application form. Applications close September 13, 2013.

IT Specialist

The IT Specialist is a student worker who works with IT Support Services to offer technical support to the campus community.  The primary function of the position is to staff the IT Help Desk in Seeley Mudd, where specialists are responsible for providing phone and walk-in help to members of the campus community. During business hours, IT Specialists work with IT Support Services staff.

IT Specialists are hired in the spring for the following academic year.
