March - December 2020

2020 was an especially challenging year for providing quality educational experiences, as faculty and students were forced to quickly pivot to remote education, to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic. Amherst College rose to meet this challenge by focusing on the needs of faculty and students. There are four main ways that Academic Technology Services (ATS) provided technological support throughout this unprecedented situation, which are presented here. The overview for each dimension of support includes examples illustrating how these tools and approaches were applied, as well as information for getting started using these solutions as we continue to meet the challenges presented by COVID-19.
