The Search Disks options allow a user to search disks that are mounted on their local system, either local physical devices or mounted network drives. The search form allows the user to enter basic description information and use the Browse button to locate the file.
The search interface is the standard interface provided by their operating system.
The file that is selected is uploaded to the server. There are no provisions for uploading multiple files at the same time.
The size of the file that you can upload is controlled by the server, not by aMapApp3. There are several ways of adjusting this, most of which require help from the systems administer. First you can adjust the maximum size of the file that can be uploaded in the php.ini file for the system. Unfortunately, this changes the setting for every php script which your system administrator may not want to do. The second approach is to create a .htaccess file in your applications home directory and include the lines,
php_value post_max_size 30M
php_value upload_max_filesize 30M
You will probably still have to talk to the sysadmin in order for your .htaccess file to override the default settings. In any case, if uploading large files is a problem you should talk with your admin.
