How to set up email account in Outlook 2010. These instruction assume that you don't already have an Outlook profile set up.
- If you are off-campus or using a computer not joined to the Amherst domain, establish a VPN connection to the Amherst network.
- Open Outlook.
- When prompted, enter your name, Amherst email address, and your Amherst password.
- Outlook will now configure itself using information from the Amherst email server.
- Your e-mail account should now be accessible through Outlook, as will your Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, etc. These can all be accessed remotely online using Outlook Web Access (OWA) (a.k.a. Web Mail).
Note that when off-campus or using a computer on-campus that is not joined to the Amherst domain, you must first make a VPN connection to Amherst before you launch Outlook.
