ID Cards for Non-Employees

Departments may request an Amherst College ID Card for a non-employee when needed for door access for vendors for deliveries, temporary employees for door access and/or using a time clock, or for other reasons as needed.

Instructional Design

hari stephen kumar is Amherst College's Instructional Designer. He provides resources and support for a wide range of teaching and learning matters, including course design, student engagement, innovative pedagogies, assessment and evaluation, and integrating technologies with teaching. hari specializes in active learner-centered teaching and fostering collaborative learning communities.


LimeSurvey allows users to quickly create intuitive, powerful, online question-and-answer surveys that can work for tens to thousands of participants without much effort. The survey software itself is self-guiding for the respondents who are participating.

IT regularly offers various in-person trainings including information security training for new employees, Amherst website editing - Content Management System (CMS) training, workshops for faculty, multimedia trainings for students and faculty, and in conjunction with Human Resources computer training for the Amherst community.
