With Amherst College's campus subscription to LinkedIn Learning (formerly Lynda.com), current students and current employees of Amherst College, Five Colleges Inc., Emily Dickinson Museum and Folger Shakespeare Library can access thousands of educational videos that serve as educational resources on software skills, computer skills, and self-improvement. This service also is available to Five College students and high school students that have Amherst College login credentials and currently are enrolled in Amherst College courses.

Features and Benefits: 
Each training topic is broken up into short video sections or chapters. View a section at a time or view all in a series to complete a particular topic. Some topics provide exercises you can use to follow along and practice what is being taught. Many trainings provide a transcript which you can download or print as a resource. Topics for self-improvement include: Communication Fundamentals, Body Language for Leaders, Managing Your Time, Influencing Others, Having Difficult Conversations, Learning to Be Assertive, Leading with Emotional Intelligence, Effective Listening, Overcoming Procrastination, Improving Your Memory, Management Fundamentals, and Conflict Resolution Fundamentals.

You can access LinkedIn Learning with any up to date web browser (Firefox, Safari, Chrome, etc.) and use a computer or mobile device including iPhones, iPads, iPods, Android phones, and e-readers that can play video such as Kindle Fire and Nook Color.

 
 
 
 
 

Getting Started

Getting Started: 

If you would like to use LinkedIn Learning, go to our Knowledge Base article and use the login link to join with your Amherst credentials. Note that you must login in to the Amherst website to access the Knowledge Base article and the link to join the Amherst College campus subscription to LinkedIn Learning.

Once you have joined and established your login using your Amherst College credentials,
access LinkedIn Learning at https://www.linkedin.com/learning/

Please note that if you have a LinkedIn account with a personal email that is not @amherst.edu, LinkedIn will ask you to login first with your own LinkedIn account credentials, the personal email and password.

Then once you login, click Learning LinkedIn Learning icon from the LinkedIn navigation menu in the navigation menu to proceed to the LinkedIn Learning site.
