Update the License Key on a Personally-owned Mac or Windows Computer

The college licenses ESET for use on the personally-owned computers of faculty, staff, and students. When the college renews its license, you may be prompted to update the license key.

The screen images below are from a Mac. The Windows screens are nearly identical. If your ESET windows don't look like the ones below it means that you have an older versions of ESET installed. In that case we recommend that you uninstall the old version and install the latest ESET. Here are the links to the installation instructions:

ESET Virus/Malware Protection

NOTE: The College's license with ESET will expire on June 30, 2020, and the virus definitions on any ESET installation that uses the College's license will cease to update. By that time you should make other arrangements to protect your personally-owned computers from viruses. The College is transitioning to CrowdStrike for anti-virus protection but will not license it for home use.

The College licenses ESET Antivirus/Anti-malware software for protection against viruses, spyware, potentially harmful and unwanted applications and other types of malware. ESET comes pre-installed on all College computers. Students may download ESET for use on one computer. Each current employee (Faculty and Staff) may download ESET for use on one computer per person for work at home use.
