Welcome to Accessibility Services!

We've designed this website to help students navigate Accessibility Services, and guide them through the process of obtaining reasonable accommodations for their academic, housing, and dining needs.

Accessibility Services is the only designated office at the College for students to voluntarily disclose a disability(ies), submit appropriate documentation for verification, and request accommodations. Accessibility Services coordinates and provides accommodations to students with all types of disabilities, in an environment of mutual respect.

The College appreciates the diversity of all students; therefore, the needs of each individual student who registers with Accessibility Services are considered on a case-by-case basis.  This interactive process allows us to meet with each student individually and determine reasonable accommodations, together. Accessibility Services collaborates with faculty and staff across campus to address student needs and supports students in advocating for themselves.

To schedule a meeting  with an Accessibility Services staff member, please make contact via email at accessibility@amherst.edu, or by phone at 413-542-2337. We look forward to working with you!
