1

An intoxicated student encountered two other students with whom the student had no acquaintance. The student verbally harassed them and challenged them to a physical confrontation. The student was dismissed from the college for one semester, required to attend alcohol counseling and placed on disciplinary probation through graduation.

Two intoxicated students pushed and ripped another student’s shirt when crossing paths on campus.The students consumed alcohol prior to the incident. The students were both placed on disciplinary probation through graduation.

An underage student was caught multiple times during the semester in possession or in the presence of alcohol or marijuana. The student was placed on disciplinary probation through graduation.

An underage student was caught twice during the semester in possession of alcohol The student was already on disciplinary probation for one year for previous alcohol and drug related incidents. The student was placed on disciplinary probation through graduation and removed from college housing for one semester.

A group of intoxicated students made a mess in the dining hall. The students were assigned community service hours in the dining hall.

A student struck a Campus Police vehicle while operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol. The student was placed on disciplinary probation through graduation, required to complete 40 hours of community service, write a reflection essay on the incident, attend regular sessions with Health Education and attend regular meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous off campus.

An intoxicated student stole the personal property of another student from a common area. The student was already on disciplinary probation for a previous incident. The student received 80 hours of community service and was required to submit a reflection essay on the incident.

A student under the influence of alcohol was arrested for assault and battery and subsequently provided medical evidence of sleep disorder that caused the altercation. The student was required to complete an alcohol and other drug evaluation with a certified provider.

While intoxicated, a student pulled the fire alarm in a dormitory. The student was placed on disciplinary probation through graduation and required to attend alcohol education with Health Education.

A student admitted to several events of blacking out from drinking, and in one incident was found sleeping on a bathroom floor. The student was required to complete an alcohol and other drug evaluation with a certified provider.

The student was placed on disciplinary probation through graduation, required to pay restitution for the damages, required to complete an alcohol and other drug evaluation with a certified provider, required to complete 40 hours of community service and write a reflection essay.

An underage intoxicated student was placed into protective custody after attempting to escape the hospital while receiving treatment. The student was required to complete an alcohol and other drug evaluation with a certified provider.

A student was placed in Protective Custody by town Police. Subsequent behavior at the police station resulted in criminal charges of Disorderly, Resisting Arrest, and Assault and Battery on a Police Officer.  The student was required to complete 40 hours of community service with the Director of Student Conduct, required to participate in the BASICS Alcohol and Other Drug Education Program, was placed on Disciplinary Probation through graduation, required to write an apology letter to the Police Department, and restricted from a campus social event.

Student accepted responsibility for behaving inappropriately while under the influence of alcohol. Student had one prior related incident. Student was issued a disciplinary warning, and reffered to BASICS Alcohol and Other Drug Education Program.

Student accepted responsibility for unwanted physical contact with another student while he was intoxicated. Student has no recollection of the event. Student wrote a letter of applogy to the victim and was put on disciplinary probation for one year.

Student was arrested by ACPD for being a minor in possession of alcohol. Student was transported to Amherst Town Police for holding. Student received 4 months probabtion, court fees, and referred to BASICS Alcohol and Other Drug Education Program.

Four students admitted to underage posseession of alcohol. Students referred to BASICS Alcohol and Other Drug Education Program.

Student was charged with Public Intoxication/Disorderly Conduct for public urination. Student admitted to blackout drinking and did not dispute reports. Student was issued a warning and referred to BASICS Alcohol and Other Drug Education Program.

A student was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct while intoxicated. Student was further charged with resisting arrest, and was transported to APD. Student held on $40 bail & transported to Hampshire County House of Corrections. Student was referred to BASICS Alcohol and other Drug Education Program.

An intoxicated student caused a disturbance in public, and was placed into Protective Custody by Amherst PD. Student accepted responsibiltiy. Student placed on Disciplinary Probation for two semesters.
