SANCTION

1

A student assaulted another student while intoxicated. Later that night, the student used a metal pole to smash the glass door of his dormitory in order to gain entry. The student was suspended from the college for one semester and required to participate in alcohol abuse counseling with a certified provider during his absence from the college. Upon his return to the college the student was placed on disciplinary probation through graduation. The student was also restricted from participating in the Room Draw process.

A student severely damaged a fire door in a dormitory while intoxicated by charging at it with great force. The door had to be replaced. The student was required to pay $2385.18 in restitution for the door, received 20 hours of community service with Physical Plant and was placed on disciplinary probation through graduation.

A student lit several pieces of paper hanging on dorm walls on fire with a lighter one night while intoxicated. One of the fires remained lit and set off the fire alarm. The student was removed from his housing assignment for the following academic year, and placed at the bottom of the room draw list for the year after that. The student also received 15 hours of community service and was required to participate in an alcohol education and assessment with the assistant director of health education. The student was placed on disciplinary probation through graduation.

A student threw a glass bottle out of a dorm window to catch the attention of another student. The student was required to complete community service with the college.
