Student Receiving Mail at Amherst

Each student will be assigned a mailbox in the Post Office located in the Amherst College Campus Center. Mailbox assignments and combinations will be sent to students in mid-August. Please note that storage chests, boxes and other packages may not arrive at the Campus Center until after students are on campus. The Post Office offers full service for stamps, parcel post, express mail and other mail services. UPS, Federal Express, RPS, and other courier services are accepted at the College’s Post Office.  Students are responsible for picking up mail and packages from the Post Office in a timely manner.

What is the mailing address of Amherst College?

The Amherst College addresses are as follows:

[Name of Person or Department]
Amherst College
P.O. Box 5000
Amherst, MA 01002-5000

[Name of Person or Department]
AC# [Individual’s Box Number] Keefe Campus Center

These are the two ways you can send mail to someone at Amherst. Either way works just as well (and fast) as the other. The top is preferred when mailing to departments. The address on the bottom is used when you know the specific box number of the individual which can be found by using the Amherst Online Directory All incoming students are given a box number during the summer, and they will have that same box number during their time at Amherst.
