The Office of Alumni and Parent Programs, in partnership with regional Amherst Alumni Associations, hosts a variety of events across the United States and the world throughout the year. Parents and families volunteer to host events and are invited to come meet alumni and families in their region. Especially popular among Amherst families are our regional “Summer Send-Offs,” which new families and their incoming students to the Amherst community. More »
Join our Facebook group
Meet other parents and family members by joining the Amherst College Parent and Family Facebook group. New families may join after June 1.
New Student Orientation and Family Weekend both feature parent and family receptions, which offer an opportunity to meet other families and share experiences in an informal, family-friendly atmosphere. You may also consider volunteering during Family Weekend as a greeter at check-in or an event host at one of the receptions.
