My time at Amherst has allowed me to take part in many classes in different roles.
I have enjoyed sitting in on several courses as an observer. I have attended Quantum, Physical Chemistry, and Biochemistry. These were excellent chances to observe different teaching styles and approaches to course expectations that I have greatly informed my teaching style.
Each semester I have been directly involved with teaching a course or running undergraduate labs. So far I have run labs and discussion sections for Introductory Chemistry (151 and 161), lectured for all of Chemistry 151, and co-lectured in the Chemical Basis of Biological Processes (Chemistry 131). Next semester I will be running labs and lectures for Chemistry 131 myself.
I have also developed two new labs for Chemistry 131 and helped write a revised lab for Chemistry 151.
