Given my interest in stretching between disciplines, it is not surprising that I teach in two departments, in English and in Women’s and Gender Studies (WAGS), and that I frequently team teach with colleagues who do not share my discipline or whose expertise is in fields other than my own. The courses I teach in each department distinctly differ, of course, since my literature courses are literary while my WAGS courses include literature but also the social sciences.
