The Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) has named Amherst College’s Frost Library a winner of its 2015 Excellence in Academic Libraries Award. The prestigious prize honors one college library, one university library and one community college library as “outstanding in furthering the educational missions of their institutions.”

Two Exhibitions Mark President Kennedy's Visit to Amherst 50 Years Ago

The photos are atmospheric, historic and dramatic, some in color, some in black and white, capturing the historic day on Oct. 26, 1963, when President John F. Kennedy visited Amherst College to receive an honorary degree and preside over the groundbreaking for the Robert Frost Library.

Tuesday March 12 — "Art in Research / the Place of Research in Art"

Please join us Tuesday afternoon, 4:30 pm, in the Reading Room of Amherst College's Frost Library, with Copeland Fellows Idan Cohen, Eric Leonardson, Matana Roberts, & Artist in Residence Rebekah Tolley.

The panelists will discuss varying modes of “research” in their multidisciplinary work, exploring how their creative process shapes the works they produce.
