Parables Conference to Be Held at Amherst College April 8 and 9

April 1, 2005Director of Media Relations 413/542-8417 AMHERST, Mass.—The Parables of Jesus Conference will be held Friday, April 8, and Saturday, April 9, in Stirn Auditorium, near the Mead Art Museum, at Amherst College. The conference, sponsored by the Amherst College religion department and the Willis D. Wood Fund, will feature six well-known scholars of parables, who will do close readings of several parables and facilitate audience discussion.

Selected from the rich holdings of the Mead's American collection, "Town and Country" offers images by 43 artists who recorded life in America between 1900 and 1950.
